Due to rising water levels and creeks overflowing on rural roads, we will be running the rural bus routes (Travis and Mr. Lockhart’s routes) early today at 1:45 PM to avoid the risk of traveling through running water.
To ensure safety:
Travis’ route will be split into two to avoid the Owl Creek flooding areas.
If your child is too young to be home alone and no one will be there, please contact the school. We will keep them at the school until the normal release time of 3:20 PM.
All non-rural route students will be released at the regular time.
If you feel your child needs to be picked up early due to weather or road conditions, we will excuse the absence as long as you check them out through Hannah in the reception office.
Safety is our top priority—thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
The City has notified us that they are now bringing in more water than is going out.
McCurtain Schools WILL be in session on Friday, April 4th.
We will need to makeup the lost day at a later date. We will notify everyone later of whether that will be a virtual or in-person day.

Correction. THURSDAY, April 3rd. No school due to water shortage.
Due to a low water supply, the city has informed us that we will not have enough water to operate the school safely tomorrow. Without adequate water for meals and restrooms, school will be canceled on Wednesday, April 3rd.

Softball Schedule Changes
*A HS softball game has been added to the schedule for tomorrow, March 25th, at Quinton. It will begin at 5:30 p.m.
*McCurtain JH will not be competing in the Panama JH Tournament this week.
CORRECTION: The JH/HS games today at Braggs will start at 4 with the HS playing first and the softball game today at home is HS only (no JH game)
Today's baseball game at Braggs will begin @ 4:30pm with HS playing first. JH will play afterward.

Bulletin and Menu for the Week of March 24-28
A Scholastic Book Fair will be held in the library this week, March 24-27. Students may attend during school hours throughout the week. There will not be a family night during this book fair, but parents, guardians, and grandparents are welcome to the book fair from 3:00 - 3:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.
🐾🥎⚾️🐾3-6 Boys baseball/Girls softball will play Whitefield Wednesday March 26th @ McCurtain @ 10 a.m.
Their other spring game is scheduled for Wednesday April 9th @ McCurtain @ 10 a.m. against Whitefield.🐾🥎⚾️🐾
McCurtain Public Schools will conduct their Annual Title I and Title VI (Indian Education) Public and Parent Hearing / Federal Programs Advisory Meeting on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 in the McCurtain Schools Auditorium at 6 PM.
The Title VI Parent Committee meeting will be held immediately following the public hearing.
Tribal representatives, parents, and community members are welcome to attend.
