Possible Virtual Learning Days Due to Weather
Due to the potential for inclement weather on Tuesday, including a wintery mix, we are preparing for the possibility of virtual learning on Tuesday and Wednesday in case road conditions become icy and unsafe.
To ensure readiness, teachers will provide students with learning packets on Monday. A final decision regarding school closures for Tuesday and possibly Wednesday will be made on Monday, based on the latest weather forecasts.
We understand that weather-related decisions can be challenging, as conditions can change unpredictably. However, the safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this situation.
Dear Parents and Staff:
I am writing to let you know about an issue our district is currently addressing.
Yesterday, February 13, 2025, I received information from the State Department of Education regarding an allegation of misconduct by a school employee. The allegation has been reported to local and state authorities, who are conducting a thorough investigation. The school distict is also conducting an internal investigation and cooperating with law enforcement and other state agencies.
There is nothing more important to our district than the safety and well-being of our students. The employee involved has been placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the investigation and further action regarding their employment status. Because this is a personnel matter, we are unable to share additional information at this time.
It is never easy sharing concerning news about school issues; however, I want you to know I will communicate as openly and transparently as possible with our school family. Together, we can ensure we provide the best and safest educational experience for all our students.

Athletics Senior Night will be at 5:15 PM, Friday night before the girls' basketball game. Come help us honor our seniors and their parents. 🐾

McCurtain Academic Team won their first round against Leflore 180-100, lost their second round to Medford 80-280, then WON their third round against Grandfield 140-60. We will play Leedey at 1 PM. It should be livestreamed on NFHS. Go Bulldogs!!
The junior class will sponsor their annual Elementary Valentine's Dance on Thursday, February 6, 2025. Admission is $2, a photo prop will be available, and a concession will be provided. The kindergarten-2nd dance will be from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. and the 3rd - 6th dance from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

❤️🐾🏀5/6 Red Oak Elementary Tournament Runner-Ups!! They battled super hard through the whole entire tournament and fell short by just 3 points. They ended their season with so many improvements and so many great performances! I am super proud of all of these young girls!!❤️🐾🏀
❤️🐾🏀3/4 Red Oak Elementary Tournament Champions!! These girls ended their season going 24-0!! They have battled some hard games this season but never quit or gave up!! I am super proud of each and every one of them!!❤️🐾🏀
🏀🐾❤️ALL 3-6 basketball girls will be leaving @9 in the morning to go to Red Oak for the 3/4 championship game @10 against Red Oak Gold and for the 5/6 championship game @11:30 against Red Oak Gold. They will be returning to school before school is over.🏀🐾❤️
🏀🐾❤️3-6 girls RED teams will be leaving tomorrow morning at 8:15. We will be back before school is over tomorrow afternoon.

The junior class will sell Valentine's gifts as a fundraiser for their prom through February 6th. The order form along with additional information is attached below. Additional forms may be obtained from a junior class member or a sponsor. Thank you for supporting the junior class!

Trivia Night will be hosted by the Academic Bowl team at 6 PM on Monday, January 27th. It costs $10 per person to play. You can have up to 6 players on a team. If you don't have a team, we'll find you one!
Round categories will be: 1) Oklahoma, 2) Sugar and Sweets, 3) Movies, 4) Television, 5) Geography, 6) Literature, 7) Music, and Final Round) Actors.
This is their last fundraiser before heading to the State tournament in Del City. Please come out, support our team, and have a lot of fun doing it! (Donations are welcome)
